Paracord Apple Watch Band are also called “life gloves”. It is made from the same fine nylon thread that is used to make parachute cords. Paracord is light and thin, but its durability and strength-to-weight ratio are incredible. Paracord was first used to make parachutes during World War II.
We recently added some of their paracord watches to our online store, including Trilotac watch straps. All Paracord watch straps are made with high quality 550 and 6061 aluminum adapters.
Types of Paracord Apple Watch Strap
- TYPE III PARACHUTE CORD
Incredible breaking strength of 550 lbs. / 250 kg, parachute cord is historically known for its strength, versatility and durability, used by US Air Force paratroopers during World War II.
The harness has 7 internal nylon straps that can be removed and used for your safety. Check out Bear Grylls’ tips on how Paracord can save your life. It was built in the United States by an official government contractor.
- SOLID APPLE WATCH ADAPTER
The Paracord Apple Watch Band is CNC machined from a solid 316L stainless steel component and is highly corrosion resistant and functional.
It has no screws or spring bars with a smart minimalist design, so you don’t have to worry about the adapter getting lost or damaged. The Apple Watch Strapcord™ Adapter is black anodized for a military look and fits all Apple Watch models.
- SWIFT AND SECURE CLASP
Magnets and hooks combined with its ultra-thin design make it comfortable to wear on your wrist. The cold protection is also carefully designed to prevent accidental spills and ensure your Apple Watch is always on your wrist when you travel.
Made of polyamide 66 (PA66 GF30) and reinforced with 30% glass fiber, it has an exceptional static breaking strength of 147N. Any magnetic cold can be explosive.
Things to Consider
As explained in the paracord strap user guide, a new paracord strap can be stiff at first and soften with use. Since the strap is initially stiff and the band is loose, wearing this strap can be a bit uncomfortable.
After a bit of debugging and practice, I realized that installing the Apple Sports Band was no longer difficult.
A trick that made it easier for me was to place the light on one side of the string, then line up the other side with one hand while pulling on the two wires. While you can have a custom band based on the survival band criteria, the beauty of the Apple Watch is that it still has some flexibility.
There are 3 holes to choose from in each series. If your wrist measurements match the available sizes, Paracord Bracelets recommends using the closest size.
If you are using paracord, you can stretch it by hand, squeezing the ends several times. If you need to wear your seat belt in an emergency, the company will replace it for free.
Paracord straps have a 30-day return/exchange guarantee and a fire guarantee with a goal of 100% customer satisfaction. The company also donates a portion of every purchase to support the men and women in uniform.

Materials
Paracord cables use 550# military grade paracord for Apple Watch cables. Each belt is made to order and the company offers 49 color options. By your standards, each Apple Watch strap contains about 10 feet of usable paracord.
You can choose between a silver or black lug (the hardware that attaches the cables to the watch). I tested the silver dots to fit a stainless steel Apple Watch (there is currently no cover for the silver dots).
The black edges seem to match the neutral white color of the Apple Watch Sport, although I couldn’t really see the color.
